Earlier this year I read a news report about a man who had been arrested after allegedly having sex with and mutilating a large number of rabbits in an empty building across from the [Sydney CBD] office where he worked.

I remember this story... Okay, they couldn't prove he used his penis to poke the rabbits - so there goes the bestiality charge - but the rabbits were found "dead or dying... some skinned". The man professes to having a deep love for nature. Hello?! Clearly he is not all there. But you can't imprison a person for insanity, can you? But cruel and unusual treatment of animals, surely?
