Charles M. Schulz

OK, the last quote (below) was from a video game character. You have never played Final Fantasy X and don't care what video game characters have to say. You want one from a REAL WORLD character. Here it is:

"Nobility is not in winning but in trying, though losing is certain."
- Charles M. Schulz

Do you like that one? Of course you do, otherwise you would not be here.

So here's one more. It is your lucky day!

"The negative is positive."

Outstanding! Nothing illustrates more clearly than your quote above that minus 25 times plus 37 equals 12! Keep up the good work!

my calculator confirms your mathematical equation. your mathematical equation confirms my metaphysical hypothesis. i thank you, sir!

I think your calculators must work a little differently "Down-under"...because when I imput...
-25 X 37 = -925...so...maybe it's a hemisphere thing...so...would that make your "quote" read...
"The Positive is Negative" where I am "up-over" ?

Stratu; If I may:

BB, you dropped a "+". It's: -25X+37=12. These long and complicated equations are understandably difficult to grasp, much less, reconcile. You are doing fine, though. Please don't give up. Thanks for your valuable input. Jim

hey there read your comment on my page and your right satanist can be as push, arragant and stupid as christians lol, generally. the glenn Dnazig thing is all based on a one to one thing. im not really religious but i have my beliefs , so other faucets of religion intrest me.

...so sorry...but I still have to disagree with you "blokes"...
as Stratu states "The Negative is Positive"...which means as stated in your example a negative number (-25), times (up here that means multiply) a positive number (37)
and if I am not mistaken still equals a negative number (-925)
...so if you mean (-25 + 37 = 12),
then that would be addition, and then you would have to explain the (times) in your equation...please enlighten my knowledge further

BB, please note each individual symbol: - (minus) 25 X (times) + (plus) 37 = (equals) 12 or:

-25 X +37 +12 A minus twenty five times a plus thirty seven = 12. Got it? 'heh'

However, this "so if you mean (-25 + 37 = 12)," would work, too.

this comment thread has officially got way out of hand. the funniest part is that when i wrote that *negative is positive* thing, the very last thing i was thinking of was mathematics. haw!
but i sure do feel honoured to have so much action here all of a sudden, however crazy it is.
thank you all!
and thanks to *me*, the number-free calm in this mad mathematical storm!
